I changed accounts several years ago too. I don't have any problems with Rita, but I don't want to be constantly associated as BEING her. So, yeah, I understand the urge to move! =D

That's part of it also, yeah. At one point China was sort of an avatar, but I guess I grew out of it. *shrugs* Very different ideas define me now. I'm fine with Alaina.(There's a philosophy in there somewhere I think.) ;)

lol it's where I got the idea that makes it sort of comical for me. I never really did take it seriously.

I think at one point Rita was what I wanted to be myself (like most fan characters tend to be), but along the line she's become her own self (not that I think she's real, she's not, but she no longer defines me, or me her). Actually all of my characters have moved past the stage of being a representation of myself, which is good. I guess this just means that we're more comfortable being ourselves, and no longer need to hide behind a manufactured persona... or something deep like that. ^_^

I don't really like my screename either, but I'm to lazy to create a new account. Plus creating a new account, moving all my stuff there, losing all my comments from my buds & watchers, and such seems like more trouble then it's worth to me.

Smell ya later! ^_^
