Artist's Comments

Annabelle and Donivar again. I felt like doing something kind of serene, and I figured romance is always the best way to go (I'm a sucker for that stuff anyway). As for some explanation to the title, there's an enchanted garden behind the ducal palace where they go on the rare occasions they get to be alone. This is one of those rare afternoons.

It took me so long to finish this, I'm surprised I even saw it through to the end. The characters were drawn by hand, scanned in and colored in PS7. The rest was painted directly into PS. That's the first time I've ever tried that, and it won't be the last because I rather liked doing that way. Straight lines hate me and my shaky hands.

Let me know what you think 'cause I'd really love some feedback on this one, as it is a new technique. Thanks so much.

I think it looke perfect! I would have never guessed that this was your first time painting free hand with PS! I am impressed, my fair Lady...

I suck at every tablet. ^^;

I am really looking forward to see more adorable pictures from you in that style and technique! :heart:
Ah... I wished to see something.... not as perfect from you. Everything you draw is perfect... it seems. I have something for... dis-perfection? ^^; However you want to call it.
I wondered what a Balor would look like in your style.... as they aren't perfect.

I have the feeling that these two characters could reprend you and your husband, somehow. ;)
It's a beautiful illustration; the colors are vibrant and the anatomy as perfect as usual!

Hm. There have only been 2 Balor characters in our game thus far (one had a bad leg and the other looked like his face had been splashed with acid), but they're both dead now. lol There's going to be another one introduced, so I'm told. But her flaw is a mental flaw, so it obviously would not change her physical appearance.

This is really lovely - the scene is very serene and that background is sublime. Bravo :clap:
